Invitation to Glastonbury

I know of no place of such tangible peace and tranquillity as the ruined abbey of Glastonbury. In spite of all the bitter sweet memories - this great centre of learning going back to St Dunstan was cruelly sacked by Cromwell, the abbot and two monks taken to the Torr and hanged - today these ruins exude stillness and foregiveness.
Behind the ruins stands Abbey House: to this place you are invited.
